The Ghost with the Most!

To go with the re-envisioned Pirates Graveyard, I opted to place a Pirate Ghost instead of a traditional one. This has so far been my easiest build for this year's display.

Supplies:

1 Foam Head (Amazon or Hobby Lobby)

1 wire coat hanger

1 white pirate-y looking shirt

1 silver do-rag

1 cheese cloth

2 Styrofoam cones

To start, I painted the head with the Testor's foam sealer and primer. After that dried, I added the do-rag and eye patch. To create the hook to hang the ghost up with, I straightened the hook on hanger and pushed it through the back of the neck. The rest of the hanger stayed below the head, I took the 2 cones and cut a lot in them to fit over the arms of the hanger to give the ghost more substantial "shoulders". At this point I put the shirt on the hanger, attaching it to the base of the neck using straight pins, adding a black sash for the waist (attached with safety pins) and then draped cheese cloth over the whole thing. I will probably shred the cheese cloth up a bit so it is more ragged, but for now the ghost is done...

After I did all of this, I found this website while trolling the web for ideas for the inside of the house. I am so going to get more heads to do this for the ghost section of the side yard. Creepy, cheep and easy...
